We care about you, our staff, and all participants at MahjCon so we are monitoring CDC guidelines for the state of Florida for communities and travelers. We are also keeping an eye on CDC Case Trends.

COVID cases have been surging across the country again, and nobody knows for sure what will happen next. We may see life go on as normal, or circumstances may prompt authorities to institute restrictions on travel or public gatherings. In either case, we want to be as ready as possible. So, from an abundance of caution, we want to encourage all MahjCon attendees to get fully vaccinated before meeting together this October. It is not a requirement, as each of us is free to make our own medical decisions.

Still, we understand that the businesses who serve us have the freedom and responsibility to protect their employees and customers from health risks. They may make decisions that create an inconvenience for us, but we will respect any such decisions. Based on our own recent experiences with COVID, we can say that we have a better appreciation for their concerns.

In short, it is the responsibility of each attendee to follow the latest CDC guidelines which can be found here: https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/community-events/

We understand that people are concerned about the COVID-19 Delta Variant. “Several experts said they do not expect the Delta variant to cause a nationwide surge here in the U.S. like the one that occurred last winter. But they do anticipate localized outbreaks in places where vaccination rates remain low.” Source

Per the CDC, “if you’ve been fully vaccinated. you can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic.” Source

We will have a limited supply of masks for attendees if needed.

If you decide to purchase a ticket to MahjCon, you will be prompted to review and agree to the following:

Thank you for your interest in attending an American Mah Jongg Ventures, LLC DBA MahjCon event. As you’re no doubt aware, the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact.
