Answer: First few things to remember is never use harsh chemicals on the tiles and never soak them. This also means, no dishwasher use. The paint is water soluble, so having them in water for an extended period of time will surely remove the paint. Also, if you have layered tiles, soaking them can cause water to get between the layers causing the layers to eventually separate.

I recommend wiping down with baby wipes or a damp paper towel, trying to avoid getting in the painted areas. Unfortunately disinfecting tiles is not an option however, disinfecting one’s hand is.
