Question: I was invited into a group that says they play a 14 tile game. Is this an approved version with the National Mah Jongg League and will they answer questions that arise during this style play?

Answer:  The National Mah Jongg League support a thirteen tile game only. They do not support the 14 tile game played by some. With this version you are discarding and then picking which is basically picking prior to your turn and looking at your next tile in advance.
