ID193-Standard Scoring, Payout, Playing for Money or with Points
The Value shown on the card which can be used as a point value or money value. In the examples below we will use .25 for the actual hand value to determine what is paid to the winner:
Scenario 1: Player picks their own Mah Jongg (self pick win) using Jokers in the hand – The winner is paid double or .50 from all players. Total Payout: $1.50
Scenario 2: Player picks their own Mah Jongg (self pick win) without using Jokers in the hand – The winner is paid double-double from all players. The self pick win is .50 and doubled again for the hand being played without Jokers is $1.00. Total Payout is $3.00.*
Scenario 3: Another player discards the winning tile to a hand that used Jokers in the hand: The player who discarded the winning tile pays double the value or .50 while the other players pay .25. Total Payout: $1.00
Scenario 4: Another player discards the winning tile to a hand that had no Jokers in the hand: The player who discarded the winning tile pays double-double the value of the hand. Penalty for giving Mah Jongg is .50 and doubled again for the hand being played without Jokers is $1.00. The other other players pay just double or .50 for the hand being played without Jokers. Total Payout: $2.00
*Winners of a Singles & Pairs hand do not receive double for the hand being made without Jokers as the value of those hands already reflect the fact that they are made without Jokers.
