Question: How do you play Two-Handed Mah Jongg?

Answer: In The National Mah Jongg League’s version of the two handed game, the walls are built just as in four-handed Mah Jongg. Tiles are drawn from the walls but not from the missing player’s walls. The Charleston is also omitted from this version of the game. Some players’ have also incorporated a table rule whereby they place the tiles face down on the table and randomly pick their tiles from the scattered tiles. The remaining tiles are used to pick from during the game.

In April 2015, Gladys Grad created a version of the 2-handed game and named it,  SIAMESE MAH JONGG. Gladys also sells a Siamese Mah Jongg card as an alternative to playing with the National Mah Jongg League Card. In depth rules for Gladys’ version can be found at:
