MAH JONGG FEVER
Mah Jongg has been a big part of Barbara’s life for 50 years and not a mystery that she tried to share her love of the game with her daughter, Jennifer. But over and over again she would hear these words, I have no interest.
3 years ago, when Jennifer was visiting her mom in New York she said to her mom, I’ll give you one hour to show me what Mah Jongg is all about. So, Barbara did just that. Although an avid game player throughout her life, Barbara was amazed at how quickly she learned the very challenging game of mah jongg. After their one-hour session, Jennifer continued learning from a book to teach herself and practiced endlessly.
Mother and daughter together began attending tournaments around the country. Jennifer was amazed at the friends forged through mah jongg and her newfound love of the game became a wonderful way for her to bond with her mom.
Fast forward to the present, Barbara and Jennifer talked about their dream of getting into the mah jongg tournament business. When fate stepped in and opened the doors for them to purchase an existing mah jongg tournament business, which they did, Mah Jongg Fever was born.
