RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

MahjCon reserves the right to amend these rules of engagement (without notice) from time to time and you will be subject to the rules of engagement in force at the time that the event occurs.

MahjCon reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event without liability at any time for any reason (whether or not due to causes beyond our reasonable control). Where an event is postponed, your registration will be valid for any re-scheduled version of that event.

MahjCon reserves the right at any time to change the format, participants, content, location, and timing or any other aspect of an event, in each case without liability. Every effort will be made to announce any changes on the website and pre-event broadcasts and publications, but sometimes last-minute changes will occur.

As a potential attendee (i.e., you, your), please read these rules of engagement carefully because they contain important information about participating in our events. By purchasing any ticket, you complete your registration for the related event and agree to be bound by these rules of engagement. If you do not agree to be bound by these rules of engagement, please refrain from purchasing tickets.

Your registration is issued for your personal use only. You may not purchase registrations as an agent for any third party or exploit your registration commercially or non-commercially in any way. You must wear your event badge at all times to be admitted to any event function.

You should consider carefully whether you will be able to participate in any activities offered as part of any event. MahjCon warns that some activities may be physically demanding and/or carry inherent dangers. You accept that it is entirely your responsibility to decide whether participation in any activity in the event is appropriate to your capabilities, aptitude, fitness, and health. You also accept that it is entirely your responsibility to observe all safety requirements and instructions that you may be given in relation to such activities. To the extent permitted by applicable law, MahjCon(as well as any employees or other representatives of the same) hereby disclaim any liability for any loss, injury, or damage whatsoever that you may suffer in connection with or arising from the event whether direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential (including, without limitation, loss of profit, loss of business or any other type of economic loss) or otherwise arising from your participation in any activities offered as part of the event (including, without limitation, any activities held outside of, or incidentally to, the Main Event).

We take pride in the fact that we conduct events in a safe environment where everybody is welcome. Hence, certain kinds of behavior are not tolerated. As a community, we come together, look out for one another, and make sure everyone is treated with respect.

Harassment of any kind, including but not limited to unwelcoming attention, stalking, or use of physical force, which in any way creates a disturbance that is disruptive or dangerous, as well as poor sportsmanship, boisterous, lewd, or generally offensive behavior or language, using sexually explicit or offensive language or conduct, or profanity, obscene gestures or racial, religious or ethnic slurs will be considered harassment.

If you are being harassed or are endangered in any way, it is important that you report it immediately by finding the nearest MahjCon volunteer. They will direct you to a MahjCon staff member who can determine the best course of action. The same applies if you are a witness to an incident where someone is harassed or endangered.

If you have been accused of harassment and feel that you were treated unfairly you may appeal to MahjCon staff, but that decision will be final.

MahjCon reserves the right without liability to revoke any registration, refuse admission to, or to eject from, the event, any person in its absolute discretion, including (without limitation) any person who fails to comply with these rules of engagement or who, in the opinion of MahjCon, represents a security risk, nuisance or annoyance to the running of the event. You agree to comply with all reasonable instructions issued by MahjCon, the venue owners, security personnel, or management at the event. If any individual breaks the law – city, state, or federal – they will be arrested.

Please abide by the above rules of engagement and a good time will be had by all.
